# Repeatedly (with two repos at least) runner fails to checkout because codefloe seems to give it a wrong commit ID#

The commit exists in my local repository and is the current main commit. Please check repository storage, ref/object synchronization, and the timing of Actions run creation relative to push completion.

If you tell me precisely what you need I can get you logs from the server where the runner works.

Your [CI workflow](https://codefloe.com/mcepl/9ai/src/branch/main/.forgejo/workflows/ci.yml) hardcodes `GIT_DEFAULT_HASH: sha256` but your repo is of type `SHA-1`. Mixing these two different formats isn’t supported. What happens is that the checkout step tries to (force) clone the repo as a `SHA-256` one but effectively gets a `SHA-1` and fails.

Dropping `GIT_DEFAULT_HASH: sha256` should get your build going.
