We’re happy to roll out a significant improvement related to platform interaction today: granular repository watch settings!
So far, users could only “watch” a repo or unwatch it, i.e. receive notifications for all events or none. This is a subsequent downside for many, as often one only wants to get notified about new releases (and/or PRs) but not about any new issue.
And as a bonus on top, we also added another option: exclude specific users from the selected events. Especially in the era of automation, you often want to filter by human traffic and omit bot-generated traffic. The new watch settings allow for that now: they take a regex-based input and will ignore events from matching users.
