2026-10-04: Introducing CodeFloe Tide, a new theme

We created a new theme: CodeFloe Tide.
It takes the calm surfaces of Tangled and pairs them with the navigation and density many of you know from GitHub, while keeping the CodeFloe orange, Inter and JetBrains Mono.

What is different

Cards on a tinted page.
Content sits on white cards over a light slate background (dark gray in the dark variant), so the file list, the README and issue lists read as distinct blocks instead of one flat surface.

Softer corners.
Buttons, inputs and cards get 6px rounded corners.
The classic CodeFloe themes keep their square look.

Quieter links.
Links in lists and metadata are neutral slate instead of orange, so the accent colour is reserved for what you can act on.
Links inside rendered Markdown are underlined, so they stay easy to spot.

Repository tabs.
Inactive tabs are muted, hovering shows a rounded background, and counters are shown as pills.

Repository home.
The file list is a single card, the README header stays visible while you scroll, and topics are shown as pills.

Issues and pull requests.
Lists are one card with the filter toolbar as its header, and the details under each title are separated by dots.
On a pull request, the edge of the merge box shows its state at a glance.

Light and dark

Tide comes in three variants: light, dark, and one that follows your system setting.
Every text and background pairing meets WCAG AA contrast in both modes.
