This is a Discourse forum, right? I’ve used lots of other Discourse forums and never had an issue setting up my profile, but it seems to be failing here.
If I click my profile and click “Preferences”, the link is https://forum.codefloe.com/u/mtlynch/preferences but that redirects me to https://forum.codefloe.com/404
Is there a way for me to change my profile information? Is this a new user thing, as I just registered?
What is funny is I can see your profile page, but I cannot see my own if I’m authenticated. I have the same error clicking preferences, navigating to https://forum.codefloe.com/u/jeremyjh gives me a 500 error. In a private browser it works fine.
Indeed, there was a non-applied DB migration during one of the recent Discourse updates that prevented the correct loading of the preferences view.
We’ve manually re-applied this DB migration now and everything is working as expected again. Thanks for mentioning!
I’m now able to access my profile page, but I can’t upload a profile photo. When I try, I see the upload POST succeed, but then it sends me a CDN URL that 404s:

I see this on Linux on both Firefox and Chromium.

This is broken again. I lost my custom profile image, and when I upload a new one, it keeps defaulting to this gray one.
We can’t reproduce any issues with avatar uploads. Your avatar shows as a human picture (still), no gray pic or similar.
Maybe a caching issue on your end? Otherwise we’d need a short screencast from your end to help further.
